We're three wrinklies who meet on Wednesdays at various restaurants, each vying to find reasonably priced interesting ones. The Golden River Spur is another Spur, but with a good view of the sea and good staff. But the Senior's Menu is something else. There are 2-3 choices for each of three 'courses', a drink, a main and a sweet. The serving size is supposedly smaller but finishing all of them is a challenge for the even big eaters. There's a half-sized(!) steak or a burger or fish and chips And the sweet is generous chocolate veined ice-cream heaven or a half waffle with ice-cream or cream We keep coming back for this value for money, R110 feast. When we arrived it was loadshedding so we culdnt order waffles or have warm beverages. The service was nice bcoz the waiter was quite helpful. We then ordered Milkshakes which was WARM becoz of loadshedding. The Nacos wasnt really great at all. I will not order that again. I am sure it wuldve been nicer if the power was on. Becoz we always have a nice time at this Spur. It was just one of those days.
