Starting them young, the Spur Children’s Tour introduces your riders to cycling in a safe and fun family environment. It has been included into the Knysna Cycle Tour event to cater for our up and coming cyclists.
The Spur Children’s Cycle Tour forms part of the annual Knysna Cycle Tour, and takes place a day after the main event. This fun ride is a great way to encourage fitness with your child.
Up to 3,500 kids take part in three age categories from 2 - 10 years old. Each child receives a free Spur goodie bag and a participation medal to take home. There are many festivities on the day including a Spur vending set-up, a Spur kiddies’ area and exciting prizes up for grabs on the day.

Knysna Cycle Tour presented by Knysna Rotary (This is included on the same tab as the Spur children’s tour please)

The Knysna Cycle Tour consists of two premier races - 80km race for the elite riders and the “half marathon” 50km for experienced MTB riders - and the two family events consisting of the 30km and the Spur 15km ride for adults and children aged 9-16 years. The start and finish take place at the Waterfront Drive, and this year the route has been reinvigorated with changed courses, new challenges and more singletrack.
