Here are 10 easy ways to cut down your carbon footprint, which will help reduce the impact of global warming and climate change.

Have you ever heard the term “carbon footprint”? Just as walking on the sand leaves a footprint, burning fuel leaves carbon dioxide in the air, which is called a carbon footprint. Doing something that burns fuel will make carbon dioxide gas in the smoke.

  1. Walk or ride your bicycle as much as possible. Remember to wear your helmet and obey the rules of the road.
  2. Use public transport such as buses, trains and taxis. You will need to travel with a grown-up, but it can be way more fun than going in the car.
  3. Visit  https://footprint.wwf.org.uk/#/ to work out your family’s carbon footprint. We can all cut down!
  4. Switch off lights, TVs and other appliances when you’re not using them.
